I have resisted the siren song of Windows 10 so I can't verify this solution, but it works for Windows 7 which, like Windows 10, no longer has the option to remove file associations in the GUI. Find the file extension in question under this key in the registry: HKEYCURRENTUSER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer FileExts. If you're using Windows 10, it is built into the Linux subsystem feature. Just launch a Bash prompt (press the Windows key, then type bash and choose 'Bash on Ubuntu on Windows'), cd to the directory you want to make and type make. FWIW, the Windows drives are found in /mnt, e.g. C: drive is /mnt/c in Bash.

Manual steps in Windows

The EZB Systems UltraISO program and the PowerISO application can be installed in a Microsoft Windows system for the user to create and open these BIN files. Files with the CUE extension may be created with a BIN file, and these CUE files contain metadata information regarding the data structure saved into the associated BIN file. A BIN file is a game data file included with downloads from GOG.com, an online video game distribution platform. It contains binary game data that an associated setup.exe file uses to install a video game. BIN files cannot be used to install a game on their own, and they should not be opened. 3. Launch: The Chromebook Recovery Utility will now be installed and will show up on the Apps Page of your Chrome browser.

• Click on the Recovery icon highlighted below.

Note: This should popup automatically, if it doesn't, type chrome://apps in the address bar of your Chrome browser.

Note: As a general rule of thumb it is recommended to ensure the USB you are using has been formatted before continuing with the steps mentioned below. To format your USB using the Google Chrome Recovery Utility follow the steps mentioned here.

1. Initial Screen: Once launched, you should see the below screen.

-During the process, it is normal for the utility to show unusual percentages.

Win BIN2ISO is a small, portable and freeware application developed by German hobbyist at SoftwareOK. It is simply a free program to convert your BIN CD images (or DVD/Blu-ray, for that matter) to ISO files which may be more compatible with whatever program you're using to deal with image files.

Since it's free, there's really no drawback because this little application just has one task: converting BIN files to ISO files. It supports all modern Windows operating system (including Windows 98) and handles files over 2GB in size with absolute ease.
